Weekly Reflection with Jess {1}

Updated: May 10, 2020

April 27th- May 3rd 2020

I think it is so important to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and actions. I have been doing it at the end of every month since 2020 started and I love thinking about the past month and everything that happened. I think it will be really cool to be able to look at all the entries for the whole year.

I want to take it one step further and reflect on each week. It's so easy to get overwhelmed and lost as the days go on, so I am going to make it a habit to take some time every Sunday and reflect on my week. It makes such a difference when you actually write it down (or type in this case) so I have decided to post it on my blog to keep myself accountable. Feel free to answer these questions for yourself too and write them down or type them!

I usually get anxious and worrisome on Sunday nights, before the start of a new week. It has been this way for as long as I can remember. I used to cry to my mom every Sunday night in elementary/middle school and when she would ask why I was crying I would say I didn't know. And at the time I truly did not know but helllooo anxiety! I was worried about the new week ahead and thinking about every little thing that could go wrong. I have grown a lot since then. Mentally, physically, and spiritually. I am now aware of my thoughts and why I feel certain emotions. I am excited to start these weekly reflections to help ground myself and focus on all of the opportunities this new week has to offer!

What was I grateful for this past week?

☆This time with my family and celebrating my mom's birthday.

☆The beautiful sunshine & weather in Los Angeles.

My priorities for this upcoming week:

☆Sticking to my morning routine.

☆Developing my night routine.

Looking at the week as an actual work week and setting aside time to get stuff done.

What I did well this past week:

Worked out/moved my body Monday-Friday.

☆Fueled my body with lots of whole foods.

What I want to improve on this upcoming week:

☆Waking up earlier/going to sleep earlier.

☆Set aside time meditate every day.

☆Set aside time to read every day. Even if it's just a few pages.

xoxo,

Jess
