Weekly Reflection with Jess {4}

May 17th-May 24th


It's time for my weekly update!! I can't believe I'm already on my 4th one! I have really liked doing these every week, I feel like it's a chance for me to get all my thoughts out onto "paper". I highly recommend writing or typing if you feel overwhelmed! I had a great week!! I hope you did too.


At the beginning of this past week I was feeling a bit stressed and overwhelmed but this week I am taking all my energy and turning it into excitement and happiness! I have an even busier week this week and I am grateful for it! This quarantine has been a much needed break from everything for me. A break I didn't even know I needed. But it has reignited my fire for some things and has sparked a new fire for other things.


I went to the chiropractor this week--my friend Luis at Precision Chiropractic in Northridge. The 2-3 weeks before this my lower back was feeling numb and I couldn't run. It was really disheartening because I love running. It would even get numb when I was walking. After one session with Luis my lower back felt so much better! I ran a mile the next day to test it out and I could do it! I am excited to slowly work my way back into running. I am going back for a follow up this week and I am really glad it's getting better. But now my upper back on the other side has a hugeeee knot and sharp pain. I really can't catch a break!! Hopefully that will go away soon too.


I had coffee for the first time in about 2 months today and I forgot what a coffee CRASH feels like! I drank it around 10am and by 1:30pm I was E X H A U S T E D. Literally so tired. I definitely do not miss that feeling! Although I like the taste of coffee, I think I am going to stay away from it as best I can. I am extremely sensitive to it and it affects my anxiety and sleep. It is currently 9:10pm and my heart is RACING! I don't know if it's from the coffee or from the excitement of the TikTok that I just posted, LOL! I did the Wipe it Down Challenge. ANYYYWHOO lets get back to the reflection (I wish I could use emojis on here!!)

What was I grateful for this week?

☆I am grateful for my health and the ability to move my body.

☆I am grateful for my parents and everything they do for me.

☆I am grateful for my job at Hardcore Agoura and my amazing boss Jen.

What are my priorities for this upcoming week?

☆To STICK TO THE DOWNTIME ON MY PHONE!! I think I turned it off every night this week lol whoops. My goal is to set it for 10pm and then not go on my phone after that.

☆Make some bomb workouts for the Hardcore Livestream (join me for Chest,Back and Abs on Tuesday at 6pm!!!) and the Curbside workout at my gym on Wednesday at 6pm!


What I did well this past week?

☆ I got a lot of stuff done this week and I am proud of myself for that.

☆Getting out of my little stressed/anxious mood :)
